Zashely Alicea Rivera captivated audiences at the 74th Miss Universe competition in Thailand, beginning with a spectacular performance during the National Costume Show. Representing Puerto Rico through a piece inspired by the island’s iconic zumbador (hummingbird), she combined strength and grace with elements of classical ballet. Her stage presence drew powerful cheers from Puerto Rican fans and supporters from around the world, reaffirming her status as one of the most celebrated contestants of the night.
During the preliminary competition at the Impact Challenger, Zashely continued to shine among the 122 delegates. Her swimsuit presentation ranked among the strongest performances, receiving overwhelming applause and solidifying her position as a fan favorite.
For the evening gown segment, she wore “The Golden Radiance,” a custom couture creation by Thai designer GL Garlate. The skin-tone mesh gown, meticulously handcrafted with diamonds, crystals, and beads in gold and silver tones, incorporated gem-inspired hues reminiscent of yellow sapphire, citrine, and topaz. Its luminous effect highlighted every movement, while a dramatic golden ruffled cape added texture and a distinctive signature to the look.
From the national costume to the preliminary stages, Zashely Alicea has emerged as one of the most memorable and acclaimed candidates of Miss Universe 2025.
