Recognized as "One of the Most Influential Women in the Fashion Industry in New York," Marie Llanos is a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and raised in San Juan. She studied Business Administration and Accounting and has been based in New York since 2000. She is the founder of the New York Fashion Awards (2016), the international Luxe Varié Magazine, Dubai Latin Fashion, Puerto Rico Fashion Awards, and the inaugural edition of the Gentlemen Luxury Business Awards.

Marie was the first Latina and Puerto Rican to produce an event in Dubai, showcasing eight international designers in May 2022. A graduate in Filmmaking and Acting from the New York Film Academy in 2007, she is also the license director for Mexicana Universal Universe, led by Lupita Jones, and has been a dedicated sponsor of

Miss Universe Puerto Rico since 2018.
