Carolina, Puerto Rico (April 17, 2026) — Fairmont El San Juan Hotel invites guests to rediscover its iconic The Lobby, the vibrant heart of the property, and Chico Cabaret, an intimate space within it where entertainment, gastronomy, and mixology converge into an elevated and captivating experience.
For generations, The Lobby has stood as a social and cultural epicenter of the island, evoking legends such as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Liza Minnelli, and Eddie Palmieri, among others, establishing itself as an iconic stage for world-class entertainment. Beneath its 7,000-piece Czechoslovakian crystal chandelier and surrounded by intricate carved wood details, The Lobby ranks among Puerto Rico’s finest bars of global distinction. Within this refined setting, Chico Cabaret— inspired by a 1920s Manhattan speakeasy—re-emerges, capturing the mystique of a golden era through a contemporary lens.
“We reaffirm the property as a Caribbean icon, elevating its offering through immersive luxury experiences,” expressed José Padín, General Manager of Fairmont El San Juan Hotel. “Each space evolves with a renewed energy through design, gastronomy, mixology, and music,” added Adriana Martínez, Director of Marketing.
Chico Cabaret also unveils a refined culinary offering, enhancing the experience with dishes such as lobster cocktail, shrimp cocktail, fresh oysters, and caviar. Desserts pay homage to Puerto Rican flavors with creations like piña colada tres leches and Ron Barrilito truffles. Mixology, a central pillar of the concept, is redefined with distinctive creations that elevate the art of the bar. “El Solista,” crafted with bourbon, Earl Grey tea notes, and a subtle smoky finish, evokes the elegance and mystery of classic San Juan nights. “First Class Paper Plane,” prepared with whisky, amaro, aperitivo, and citrus, reflects the vibrant sophistication of the hotel’s social scene. Meanwhile, “El Cabaret de Coco,” made with rum and tropical nuances, captures the warm Caribbean spirit of the island.
The ambiance is complemented by a meticulously curated aesthetic, where burgundy-toned uniforms evoke the richness of fine wines, and a team of ambassadors enhances every interaction with elegance and attention to detail.
As part of this evolution, The Lobby and Chico Cabaret introduce a new weekly programming schedule beginning at 7:00 p.m., integrating live music and special activations throughout the week. Monday and Tuesday evenings are defined by “Grand Piano Nights,” while Wednesdays feature “Cuerdas by The Chandelier,” highlighted by violin performances—both hosted in The Lobby. From Thursday onward, Chico Cabaret takes center stage with “A Cabaret Affair,” including special editions of The Crooner featuring the residency of Fidel Osorio on select dates such as April 30, May 14 and 28, and June 11 and 18. Fridays set the tone for the weekend with tropical rhythms and a vibrant dance floor during “Latin Soirée Fridays,” while Saturdays celebrate “Sounds of Puerto Rico” in a rhythm-filled atmosphere. Sundays conclude with the traditional “El San Juan Social Club Sundays.” Guests may reserve their table via OpenTable for both Chico Cabaret and The Lobby at Fairmont El San Juan Hotel.
With this renewed concept, Fairmont El San Juan Hotel reaffirms its position as one of the Caribbean’s most iconic destinations—where elegance, legacy, and entertainment come together to create timeless, memorable experiences.
