Born on January 17, 2003, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Karina Michelle Ramos Vera represents a new generation of multidimensional talent—where communication, fashion, and science converge with purpose. Raised in Camuy alongside her two brothers, she developed early a deep appreciation for the arts, innovation, and storytelling.
A proud product of Puerto Rico’s public education system, Karina has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, earning a place on the Honor Roll throughout her studies. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication at the University of Puerto Rico, Arecibo Campus, where she continues to refine her path in media, audiovisual production, journalism, and advertising.

Her professional journey reflects a dynamic presence within the creative industry. Karina has worked in public relations and radio, contributing to communication strategies, content creation, and media production. She is also the founder of Kosmo, an independent platform focused on fashion communication, through which she has led innovative campaigns and produced initiatives such as Eco Couture, a runway experience promoting sustainable fashion in Puerto Rico.
In the media landscape, Karina has been an active voice at UPRA Web Radio, where her podcasts Kosmo Moda and Misterio 840 formed part of projects recognized with the Puerto Rican Youth Commitment Award. The platform itself was honored by the Puerto Rico House of Representatives in 2024 for its impact on youth communication. Through these spaces, she has explored cultural narratives, elevated fashion as a social expression, and preserved the island’s urban legends through contemporary storytelling.
Her talent has been further recognized with the Vigorox Lorenzana Scholarship for outstanding students in radio and television, as well as first place in the Egos brand advertising competition during Expo Moda 2020.
Beyond communications, Karina has cultivated a strong foundation in entrepreneurship and science.
She participated in programs such as LaunchX and JOVEM, where she co-developed the Yumac Solar Generator, a renewable energy system designed in response to Hurricane María. The project earned first place at Expo Emprende 2019 and was later presented at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She has also collaborated on research initiatives linked to NASA, focusing on food production in space and robotics development.

Karina’s vision extends into audiovisual storytelling, having participated in the documentary The Biggest Dream of the Arecibo Observatory, where she expressed her aspiration to become a global voice representing Puerto Rico’s scientific and cultural reality.
Deeply guided by her personal experiences, particularly her brother with autism, Karina’s work is rooted in empathy and social impact. Her community initiatives reflect this commitment, including “A Flower for Another Flower,” a Valentine’s Day campaign promoting emotional wellness through acts of kindness, as well as interactive activities with children in autism classrooms, fostering inclusion and connection through nature.
Today, Karina Ramos Vera continues to shape a path defined by purpose—merging communication, fashion, and innovation to inspire, educate, and create meaningful impact for future generations.
"To be a queen, for me, is not to wear a crown—it is to carry responsibility. It is the sensitivity to listen, the courage to act, and the genuine intention to serve. A queen is not defined by how she looks, but by how she transforms the lives of those around her."
Karina Ramos Vera represents a new generation defined by vision, purpose, and impact.
As she continues to evolve across communication, fashion, and innovation, her voice stands as a reflection of what it means to lead with intention in a modern world.
At Luxe Varié, we recognize her as a rising force shaping the future.
